Seeran Review: “A Walk in the Clouds” – I loved the title. How will it be a walk such that. You will be with the wind, ever changing your position, so near to touch the sky.
As with the film, there is a very simple entertaining story to tell about. When she shows their house she terms “Las Nubes” which in Spanish means “The Clouds”. They have made Mexico their home coming from Spain. The father who is boasting of her daughter’s ability to trace her ancestors for 400 years, I felt the long tradition great. Though the time has ripen to shed away weary leaves of tradition. A farmer’s world of being with the nature not because of his dependence to it but through a mutual understanding which he had developed all these years. The way they celebrate the yield from the fields is like we celebrate the festival of “Pongal” when all the crops are grown and laughs in the field. Though the film is very simple I loved the family set-up which made for years the psychologists and counsellors useless. Entertaining and positive.
