Plot: Munich is a 2005 American-Canadian historical drama and political thriller film based on Operation Wrath of God, the Israeli government’s secret retaliation against the Palestine Liberation Organization after the Munich massacre at the 1972 Summer Olympics.

Seeran Review: As the marauders got into the apartments of the Olympic athletes, was really security that much low? They get into the apartments and take them as hostages. Demand the release of their men as always! The hero (Avner) with his expecting wife sits in the couch and later in the bed! Cool he is a common man do you want him to overreact for killing of the hostages! Once he says”I have no time to read”. Next we move on to the Iron lady of Israel’s speech of peace (though I loved the dialogues) – – “These people they are sworn to destroy us. Forget peace for now. We have to show them we are strong. We have laws, we represent civilization. Some people say we cannot afford to be civilized. I have always resisted such people. But I don’t know who these maniacs are and where they come from? Palestinians. They are not recognizable. You tell what law protects people like these. Today I am hearing with new ears. Every civilization finds it necessary to negotiate compromises with its own values.”(Please comment if you could understand anything) I do not think if a PM should give a class on philosophy as this to his own bench. It may be Okay if it is some UN speech! Next they claim of air strikes. Numbers of Arabs killed are spoken. The PM is busy smoking stops for a while and gives the speech above. Next the meeting with the PM where Avner laughs out. Covert operations aboard with the natural thrill and pumping of adrenalin. I loved it especially the cap signal to save the child. I loved the dialogues – – “That upsets people but she was my sister. Family matters.”” Some people are angry at her for not negotiating with the terrorists. “”You are officially unofficial.”” Where is your grandpa from? You are a yekke.”

The situation where the Arabs speak with Avner is fantastic, loved the dialogue” Voice inside your head to tell you what you already know.” Not sure if it is true though. The look which Avner gives from the car on seeing the PLO men is that look. The look which every terrorist gives. That looked changed my further view completely. The rest of the film was as seeing a film where two terror groups fight with each other. “Europe doesn’t been this interesting since napoleon marched to Moscow.” What should I do I was reminded of Tolstoy and ‘War and Peace’. I felt men with gun as child with gun but mimicking as a soldier. The screenplay is perfect where we are reminded of the killing of the hostages every half an hour. So that we do not change our side to Arabs. “Because the only blood that matters to me is Jewish blood. ““The only thing that scares you guys is stillness.” This is my voice. This is how I sound like. Don’t forget.” The bomb dismantler suddenly realises what he did was wrong (the same man who shot the first bullet) “Jews do not do wrong because our enemies do wrong. We cannot afford to be that decent anymore. I do not know that we ever were that decent. Suffering thousands of years of hatred doesn’t make you decent. But we are supposed to be righteous. That’s a beautiful thing. That’s Jewish. That’s what I knew, that’s what I was though. And now I am losing that. That’s. That’s everything. That’s my soul.”

The point where they regret for killing the woman naked. Sleeping on the floor fearing for a bomb. Talking with the baby and saying to remember his voice. The speech with his mother who says that whatever it takes us to live. I loved it all.

Sleeping with Nightmares, finds no great meaning for all the thrill and dangers runs and runs. “Why cut my fingernails? They will grow back”. Leave for it back to War and Peace – ‘He is as right as other historians who look for the explanation of historic events in the will of one man; he is as right as the Russian historians who maintain that Napoleon was drawn to Moscow by the skill of the Russian commanders. Here besides the law of retrospection, which regards all the past as a preparation for events that subsequently occur, the law of reciprocity comes in, confusing the whole matter. A good chess player having lost a game is sincerely convinced that his loss resulted from a mistake he made and looks for that mistake in the opening, but forgets that at each stage of the game there were similar mistakes and that none of his moves were perfect. He only notices the mistake to which he pays attention, because his opponent took advantage of it’.
